Grouping the needs of people with disabilities with the needs of the elderly is like calling apples and oranges the same thing. They’re both fruit, but the sameness stops there. Yet I see the misconception about similar needs everywhere when I receive help. Weaknesses may be similar, and solutions might intersect sometimes. But age, experience, and interests, as well as goal-orientation, reconciliation, and attitudes, to name a few, may be vastly different.
